Our Values

I take value in being a person of my word and it is paramount that I honor that. I prioritize listening to clients, understanding their goals, and communicating so that I can best accomplish these goals. Life happens, but when it does I will always communicate. These values are a hallmark of the people I choose to have work with me, that may be coming to your property.

Our Servicing Process

Picture
Our servicing process offers a wholistic approach to your landscape.

Landscape Consulting:
Advise clients on the landscape as a whole. This is where our business intersects at being an arborist and being a gardener. The landscape is considered as a whole and not just for its parts.

Landscape Design:
Meet and collaborate with clients. Provide photos and information of attractive plants. Make decisions on plants to include in the final design. Provide a written estimate via email. Collect a deposit. Place an order with a wholesale nursery, such as Sam Brown’s. Provide an estimated date for the installation. Maintain communication during the process especially as it pertains to the date and time of installation.

Design Installation:
Plants go in the ground! Clients are encouraged to be present especially for the staging process as this will be the layout and execution of the design. It is a way to ensure expectations are met.

Maintenance:
Plants grow and at times need pruning. Weeds come. Sometimes plants need to be moved around due to crowding. Pruning of trees and shrubs are performed to national standards established by the International Society of Arboriculture (ISA). For example, the ISA states that no more than 20% of the canopy is removed while pruning. The reason is that leaves are the food factory for the tree or shrub and if you remove too many at any one given time the plant will likely decline because it is being “starved”.

Arboricultural Consulting:
An independent evaluation of a single tree or multiple trees with a hazard analysis can be provided. We are not a tree removal company and large tree projects are not a part of the business, however, we can make recommendations for arboriculture work. This allows for a particularly professional and independent evaluation that has no financial interest in the outcome.
